As the leaves start to turn in the Boston area, SCI is training 220 young leaders to collaborate effectively, make connections, bridge differences, and nurture social networks to make change long after this autumns’ leaves have fallen.
SCI youth leaders in the JAG Youth Council and the new MYC Youth Council will tackle issues they are passionate about such as hunger, teen violence, and the environment. Guided by the new Social Capitalist curriculum, they will develop leadership skills for a lifetime of service and success.
But we need your help to nurture the next generation of civic leaders. As grant budgets tighten, we seek to expand our base of individual donors to make sure the teens that want to make a difference have the tools they need to do so.
Any donation you make to this campaign makes a big difference, for instance:
$10 - Provides 2 youth leadership curriculum binders to 2 emerging leaders
$25- Cover the cost of 1 youth leadership training session
$50 – Fund the supplies for one youth-led community service project
SCI has teamed up with Causes on Facebook Please make a donation!
America’s Giving Challenge runs between October 7th and November 6th. There are daily prizes that SCI could win for receiving the highest number of single donations (not dollars) on any single day. We, of course, will accept donations on any day, but if you could try and make your donation on October 14th after 3pm (and until 3pm Oct. 15th), we might have a chance at winning a prize for the most single donations generated on that particular day. Remember, any amount will help!
