Get Dressed up, NOT Messed Up! Fashion Show

Thank you to all the participants and sponsors of the event. It was a great night, and it would not have been possible with out all of the support. Thank you again, and we really look forward to next year. Amy, Alyssa and Amanda
The Teen Fashion Show "Get Dressed Up, Not Messed Up" was an event to raise awareness about underage drinking and to help teens become better informed about the dangers of alcohol so they can make healthy decisions throughout life! The event also increased youth self-esteem and attitudes toward their body image. Throughout the night a local DJ will played the latest music and provide commentary aimed to enforce messages about self-esteem and the dangers of underage drinking.
The Radar Minions have a special and innovative plan for the evening that should provide an element of drama while sending important messages to teens and parents. The event took place at the Milford Youth Center at 24 Pearl St. in Milford on Saturday February 7th beginning at 7pm. This event is sponsored by the Juvenile Advocacy Group (JAG).
JAG aims to prevent substance abuse among youth in the towns of Milford, Hopedale, and Bellingham through community education and collaboration. This coalition provides opportunities for community agencies, schools, state and local intitutions to network, coordinate services, and identify and respond to emerging needs in the community. Through information sharing, JAG promotes and advocates healthy development for youth and families in the greater Milford area.
